The rolling out of the Android 7.0 Nougat updates has finally reached in Canada’s Galaxy S6 edge+ SM-G928W8 variant. Few days earlier, Telus and Bell has made the first moved to unleashed the said Android 7.0 Nougat update,. While this time around, we’ve also seen Rogers and among the rest of all Canadian carriers has also started rolling out their own updates. For the record, the first Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S6 edge+ SM-G928W8 came out as version G928W8VLU4CQC8. Noting that all Canadian carriers uses the same firmware build version, so it’s also same as it goes to its features and other system enhancements.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920W8) and the Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925W8) will get the Android 7.0 Nougat treatment starting on May 1st.

This update covers all Canadian version of the Galaxy S6 edge+ SM-G928W8, including the factory unlocked version, Bell, Telus, Rogers, Fido, Koodo, Free Mobile, Videotron, Sasktel, Virgin-Mobile, and MTS.
The update weights at a hefty 1.2 GB in file size, and are being held available via Over-The-Air OTA.

How to update Galaxy S6 edge+ via Over-The-Air:
Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install update.
The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.
