In addition, this is now the 3rd Android 7.0 Nougat update landed on Canada's Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ variants. So you must update your device from time to time to get a new doze of Nougat's Android security updates, to keep your data in safe place.
These updates were officially released by all Canadian carriers such as Telus, Bell, Rogers, Koodo, Fido, Freedom, Virgin-Mobile, Videotron, Eastlink, Sasktel, and not to forget including the factory unlocked version.
So if it happens that you’ve got a Galaxy S6 or a S6 edge and S6 edge+, no matter which carrier you are at, you can manually check for a software update by going into Settings > About device> Check for an Update.
