Instructions:

The stock firmware can only be use to remove root and any modified system images and then restores back the device to its original Android OS.

Read our Guides: How to Safely Unroot the Galaxy S6
Download:  Odin3_v3.11, including the USB Driver.
  • Extract or unzip the firmware file you have downloaded so that you’ll get the  “Odin flashable” tarball  firmware  file.
  • Make sure the battery is re-charge or at-least it’s still got around 60% remaining power.
  • Enable the USB debugging mode. Go to Settings > About device > then look for the Build number > tap it for around 7-times until says something like “Congratulations you are now a developer” .  head bacl to the home screen to activate the USB debugging mode. From Home screen > Settings > Developer option, then mark check the box that says USB Debugging Mode.
  • Turn off the “Reactivation Lock”.  Some other Galaxy S6 variant this feature are pre-installed.  To turn it Off just go to Settings > Security > Reactivation Lock and then unmark check the Reactivation lock option. You may need to enter your password on this process.
  • Use the supplied USB data cable of your Galaxy S6.
  • Use Windows PC to this process as this will not work on MAC computers.

  1.  Run Odin on your PC desktop
  2. Boot the Galaxy S6 into Odin download mode.
Turn it off, once completely shut down  hold down the ‘HOME’ + ‘VOLUME DOWN’ buttons and press the ‘POWER’ button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears. Press the ‘VOLUME UP’ button to continue or enter Download Mode.
  3. Connect the phone to PC via USB. Then make sure you can see as phone “Added” in Odin log box or highlight the COM:ID once the device is detected,

  6. Click on “Start” to flash the stock firmware
  7. Wait until the flashing successfully finishes, you’ll just see a word ‘PASS’ in Odin.

Troubleshooting:

1. Odin says Fail! instead of getting Pass!Check everything from the USB driver to the USB data cable. Sometimes you need to repeat this process one more time if you get fail as it depends on how your Galaxy S6 came as being rooted and modified.

2:  Perform Factory Data Reset. To obtain a much fluid and fresher firmware, you may  necessarily perform the Full Wipe/Factory Data Reset on your Galaxy S6. This will get rid of any lag issues especially if your Galaxy S6 has been rooted and it has loads of modified system images before.
  • Turn off the phone and set it into recovery mode.
  • Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons.
  • Once in recovery mode, perform full wipe
    Select ‘Wipe Data/Factory Reset’
  • Lastly select ‘Reboot System  Now”  and wait until the phone completely reboot.
